[she reaches over to put a hand on yams's back to help him through his coughs.]
...it's okay. He's nearby.
[just not Right Here to give aki space to have other pcs]
You gave us a fright, Sir Yasusada. Although... it looks like this device has mended the worst of your injuries for now. Would you like some help with the rest?
[It's a lucky thing, honestly, that he's caught up with this--otherwise he probably wouldn't hear her, or even register her presence. But he can feel the cut on his throat, and the metal still in his skin--shortly after that, his mind registers her hand, and her voice.
Nearby...
Nearby?]
--Safe? [It's hard to breathe, but he struggles against the weakness in his vocal chords.] Alive?
[There's a clear struggle on her face, as he looks between her and the door--like he's torn between wanting to believe her, or wanting to run outside and track Kashuu down for himself.]
[Yasusada's a sword, but--he probably knows more about doctors than most of the others do, quite frankly. And maybe it's that, or maybe it's just the fatigue of whatever he'd been through, but after a little hesitation, he ultimately relents.
Slowly, he nods. Speaks again, in his weak voice.]
Yes. You, Sir Nakajima, Sir Damien, and Sir Vax'ildan all returned to us.
[she'll get started on his treatment! first things first - removing the bits of metal from his face. she'll pluck those out with tweezers, then clean out any wounds from the embedded metal.]
[...Right, it was the four of them, wasn't it? He remembers. It was easy to forget, after--
--he winces a little as the metal is pulled from him; she might recognize it as small pieces of broken sword. Yasusada, too, seems to realize exactly what it is, his eyes widening.]
[It helps, to hold onto them. It shouldn't, because of what they are, but it's solid and cool and grounding, and he drags in a pained breath.
She said Kashuu is okay, though. She doesn't have any reason to lie to him. So he nods shakily, and clutches the piece tightly in his hand. At the very least, it's quite small--even if it cuts him slightly, it won't do any real damage.]
they're probably both quiet during it. she doesn't want to ask him too many questions, since talking sounds painful for him. but she'll do what she can to quickly and efficiently provide aid for the injuries he's still got.
once she's got them properly cleaned out and bandaged where necessary - and once she's applied some of the numbing cream - she takes a step back.]
...is there anywhere else you're hurt that I didn't know about?
[Either he's too tired to flinch and wince, or he's just used to having injuries on this body treated--either way, he's still, aside from his shaking hands and short breaths.
He shakes his head carefully, looking down at his body.]
I don't... [His breath catches, voice struggling to come out--he waits for it to pass.] ...I don't think so.
[She can check, if she wants--but he really is okay, aside from those wounds, and whatever's wrong with his throat.]
...then I think I've done all I can for now. It will just take time for your body to recover.
[or for him to, you know, get back in a pod when they're not all having to play the Mortal Injury Avoidance Shuffle]
When you get the chance, drink some tea with honey, and see if that helps your throat. Try not to make any sudden movements. But... you look a little better now. I won't keep you, if you wish to see Sir Kashuu for yourself.
But please do try to rest, and if your pain gets any worse, let me know right away so I can take a look at it.
[The only thing keeping him still right now, honestly, is that he'd had to live as a human before--but even back then, he'd still been tied to his vessel, so a part of him doesn't really understand what to do with these injuries. They're lucky to have the pods, really.
But more importantly:]
Where is he?
[He is directly outside, is the answer to that question]

...there is more of this stuck in your face. I'll need to pull them free, but I won't throw them out.
