I know about stab wounds, and a little bit about bullet wounds. [Though, granted, Okita wasn't really around for that, and he's hardly Mutsunokami.] Do you have to do anything differently for other types of wounds?
For burns, you'll want to cool the affected area first, and apply a salve before you bandage it up. You'll also want to be sure not to break any blisters, or to bandage it too tightly.
If the burn is on a hand, you'll want to remove any rings or anything else that may be tight around it first.
