[HELLO SMALL LAD here we are on the beach after all of that!!!

Yasusada still looks very tired, but the color has faded from his hands--for now, it's just his hair that's reflective of the night sky. He's still bandaged, and clearly hasn't been in the pods yet, but at least his injuries are relatively inconsequential compared to everyone else's. NOT NAMING NAMES, CLARTE.

It's a little half-hearted, still, but he gives Danny a smile when he sees him here as well, nodding slightly in greeting.]

...I'm glad Clarte will be okay.

[ Danny is starfished on his back in the sand. He heaves out a relieved sigh, giving him a small grin back. ]

Me too. That was...close. Way too close.

[Danny is valid!!! If Yasusada weren't injured and exhausted he would also starfish tbh, it's one of his favorite things to do.]

Yeah... Roxana is--was very strong.

[And willing to do anything to survive, as they saw. They're probably lucky Clarte fought her properly, considering how kind they can be.]

[Well, for someone like Danny, that's a noticeable reaction--Yasusada gives him a curious look, as he takes a seat on a rock nearby. This rock was definitely always there and I didn't just magically make it up for this one thread, I don't know what you're talking about.]

Anyway, Danny shrugs into the sand. ]

I don't know what to think, I guess. I didn't really know her. I like, hardly ever spoke to her at all.

[That makes sense... Yasusada nods a little, turning his gaze to the horizon.]

She was always kind to me. And Kiyomitsu really liked her. [So he's sad to lose her, even though he wouldn't have wished for her to win that battle.]

...It looked like a lot of people really liked her.

Yeah. [He hadn't known she was so close to Clarte, but he supposes it makes sense. Clarte is very easy to get along with, and it seemed like the two of them had a shared understanding of certain things.] ...I think, at this point, most of us like each other.

[Each week that passes makes the risk of losing a loved one grow.]

...yeah. Even if we don't know each other all that well...sticking together's important.

Mm. I think it'll take all of us to fix what's happening here.

[If they even truly can--he'd been a little doubtful, but after this weekend, he truly wants to believe.]

Yeah. But we're getting closer. We have more info than ever on what's really going on here.

Yeah. Though I don't know what we can do with it... I still don't understand what that compass meant.

Maybe we just don't have enough yet...like we're missing the final piece of the puzzle. We just have to keep searching.
