[There's been so many injured people. November arrived and aided Atsushi, but didn't see very well what happened to the rest. Getting details from other people is hard sometimes, so he comes to see Yasusada]
How is it going? Have you been through this song and dance before?
[Have you been injured this badly before, Yasusada?]
[Says that without sounding sorry at all. Although November did come here because of some concern towards Yasusada -- as well as concern towards others -- he did select Yasusada to ask some questions.
...
Or that's how it would be if it wasn't for a little, tiny detail]
Are you in any condition to speak? You did get a slit throat. Don't overdo it.
Consider texting with the phone instead of speaking.
[Hm...perhaps asking Yasusada to tell everything about what happened won't work, he thinks. Talking could risk damaging his throat and telling everything via text message is impractical.
Goodbye to the plan of asking Yasudada a lot of questions, yup]
[November is the smartest person Yasusada's spoken to because no one else has suggest this, which I find very funny
But that's a good idea!! He presumably has his phone back, so he gets it out--there are some small cuts on his hands, but his fingers aren't really injured, so. He texts November, because he doesn't know how to do text to speech.]
Yes, transformed. Like it happened to Ryunosuke. He returned from a dangerous location, transformed into a motorized vehicle. That's why I thought perhaps something similar had happened to you.
[The confusion said it all: Yasusada was never transformed into a cake, instead they arrived with the cake, he understands now.
But despite having understood that, he dropped the tidbit of Ryunosuke having transformed into a truck because oh boy, that's such a crazy sounding thing, haha -- crazy enough he adds:]
Perhaps he is one. We know almost nothing about each other -- others could be hiding secrets such as being a yokai.
[...he's not trying to spread misinformation, really, but as he sees it, given that there are three swords here and also November himself is hiding very important information about himself, he doesn't see as too unlikely Ryunosuke maybe was a tsukumogami all along and he didn't tell anyone]
well before that we were regular tsukumogami but humans havent used swords in a long time and there arent many of them left anymore anway i wasnt n a museum or a family terssure or anything so i was alone for a long time
[So there wasn't a lot for him to do, besides... exist.]
i still dont really know how much we should say were usually not supposed to tell people what we are or talk about the future but i think even if there were humans left to wield us properly its better that we go back and fight the retrograde army instead of them sometimes its really hard for us to protect history but i think... it might be even harder for humans
[Also canon never really explains what happened to get to the point of using swordboys anyway lmfkjhgkh]
[Something about saying they were created to serve humans, just like that, feels off to November, just like the opposite also felt off -- when a fellow Contractor once asked him why he served humans when he was above them, what with all of his powers and what not. Still, the swords know how things are supposed to go.
If they say this is how it should be, then alright]
Were you in the middle of doing that before you appeared here in the Prism?
[November nods. Some would say he should find a bit alarming the people he finds most relatable are the swords, but he doesn't mind. Perhaps that's why later he'd open up a little to Kashuu, telling stuff about himself he thinks a sword would understand]
If it's not too long of a story, can you tell me about this Retrogade Army you're fighting?
sure but i dont know how much there is to say they think changing history is the right thing to do but it isnt so we have to stop them if we dont it gets really bad
week 1 -- after CYOA
How is it going? Have you been through this song and dance before?
[Have you been injured this badly before, Yasusada?]

Yasusada is conscious, now--his slit throat has been semi-healed and bandaged, as have the cuts and scratches on his face.
He shakes his head.]
Injured, but--not like this. [His voice is weak, strained.]

[He probably shouldn't be talking as much as he has been, but. Well. He's still not used to the limits of a human body.]
Couldn't breathe--blood I think. But I'm okay.

ok
no subject
That's better.
[Now that he pretty much threw away his plan to ask Yasusada about the events that led to all these injuries, November seems to relax somewhat.
There's one question he decides to drop, though]
I arrived with others and found you on top of the remains of what seemed to be a cake. Were you at some point transformed into a cake?
no subject
transformed?????????
no
what
no subject
[The confusion said it all: Yasusada was never transformed into a cake, instead they arrived with the cake, he understands now.

I should emphasize this is not a joke.

eh
ryunosuke is a truck??
tsukumogami????

ill ask him
after i get repaired tomorrow

Sometimes it's easy to forget I'm speaking to a sword instead of a human.
no subject
sometimes its still weird for me too
weve only had these bodies for a few years
no subject
[Simply staying in that sword and watching things happen? Could you even watch things while you were a sword?
no subject
before that we were regular tsukumogami

i wasnt n a museum or a family terssure or anything so i was
alone for a long time

How did everything change? Did everyone begin using swords often again?
no subject
no
[He pauses, looking contemplative.]
i still dont really know how much we should say

no subject
So you and the other two are fighting in a war on humanity's behalf?
no subject
yeah
i guess thats what it is
we were made to serve humans from the beginning anyway so its just natural
for us to do this
no subject
[Something about saying they were created to serve humans, just like that, feels off to November, just like the opposite also felt off -- when a fellow Contractor once asked him why he served humans when he was above them, what with all of his powers and what not. i mean i was at home i wasnt on a mission currently
but yes we were
