In other words, it's a constant cycle that, once it starts, will keep going until something is done about it.

[At least 'something' doesn't have to be someone dying, but separating the sword away from the human corrupting it seems like the first thing to do, admittedly!

Can a corrupted sword return to some measure of normality?

[For the corrupted swords' sake there better be a way to reverse it, he thinks, because if it's anything like what happened here then destroying them is the only choice. Oh well]

Tomorrow will be a new week. We'll have a few days before we go through a trial again. Perhaps there will be something useful to find during the next few days.
