As much as we can try to look out for people, it's still out of our control, isn't it? It's not your fault that we've lost who we have. You've been doing as much as you could to protect them already.

He accepts the touch, but he doesn't look reassured.]

Even so... I can't just accept that. [If only it were that easy.] But even if I say that--I don't know what else to do.

...Neither do I. It's easy enough to say we'll find a way to fix the prism and stop the refractions, but actually doing it is another thing entirely.

Yeah. [Which is the worst part about all of this.] Even what we have seems conflicting.

[Break things? Don't? Listen to Dreamer? Ignore them? Even if they can get the dead back, what does that have to do with stopping the refractions? It's endlessly frustrating.]

I know, it's totally confusing! It would help if we had a better idea of what they wanted so we don't do something wrong and make it worse...

Mm. [Ughhhhhhhh.] I don't think we can wait much longer, though.

You're probs right... But that's not a bad thing, as long as we can figure out what to do. The sooner we can all leave, the better, right?
