[It helps, to an extent--it doesn't have quite the comforting weight that Nagasone's hand does, or the gruff sympathy of Kanesada's, but it's reassuring all the same, and he settles a little.

Mm, I think so. Let's work on gathering information first, since we haven't been briefed by Aruji. We'll have to find the cause of the disruption of all this, cleanse it, and then see about how to harness the power that brought us here to then get us home.
